Acharya Brajendra Nath Seal College is a popular college in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, India, which has been widely referred to as ABN Seal, previously known as Victoria College. Built in 1888, it provides both undergraduate and postgraduate study. The college is accredited to Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University. It has also the accreditation by NAAC. ABN College Eligibility Criteria 2023
- Students who have passed H. S. or equivalent examination in 2019, 2020
or 2023 are only eligible to apply in UG Courses. - Students who have passed in at least 4 subjects with English as one of the
compulsory subject excluding Environmental Studies or Environmental
Education, those students who have obtained either i) 55% marks in aggregate; or ii) 50% marks in aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying examination, shall be eligible to apply for admission to honours in the subject concerned in general / unreserved category. - However, the above criterion gets reduced to :
i) 50% marks in aggregate; or ii) 45% marks in aggregate with 60%
marks in the subject in the qualifying examination shall be eligible to
apply for admission to honours in the subject concerned in SC/ST
category. - For all laboratory-based subjects, the students must have passed in that
subject at 10+2 level, if that subject exists in the HS subject list or
equivalent subject if it does not exist in the ABN Seal College Admission List of subjects, as per existing admission guideline of the University. - All students of Higher Secondary with Vocational Course (10+2) course
will be treated as equivalent with the course curriculum and syllabus of
the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE)
and such students shall be admitted only in the first year General
(Program) course of B.A/B.Sc.
