In the end of Cooch Behar City, Cooch Behar college was constructed in 1970. Under 2f of the UGC Act, the college was recognised. The college is accredited with Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University. From its early stages, the college has administered arts and commerce courses. The BBA course was started from 2006 and the science stream was added from 2008.
